Nascar Driver Giving Away Tickets

Published by wv918 at 7:54 am under Nascar Edit This

Denny Hamlin, driver of the 11 Fedex Toyota is giving away his tickets to all 36 races this season. Nascar gives each driver 4 tickets per race and Denny is giving his 4 to whoever goes online and fills out a form telling him why they think they deserve the tickets. All you have to do to enter is go to DennyHamlin.com and fill in your info and tell your story.

Practice was held yesterday for tonight’s Bud Shootout and Kyle Busch was fastest in the first session while Jimmie Johnson was quickest in the second practice. Pole sitter Paul Menard lost a tire and damaged his car and if they cant get it fixed he will go to the back of the field in a back up car. Jeff Burton only ran 2 laps before his engine let go and as a result Richard Childress pulled his other 2 cars in to double check their engines but found nothing wrong with them.

Joey Logano had his hands full in his 20 Home Depot Toyota and I don’t know if it was just him not use to the car and track or was the car just that bad. In the second practice A.J. Allmendinger was second quickest,it was good to see a RPM car up front in practice. Kasey Kahne was fourth although he did scrape the wall a little bit but had only cosmetic damage.

I watched Trackside last night and the highlight of it for me was Juan Pablo Montoya’s comment about the rule changes for the Bud Shootout. He didn’t understand why the rule changed about if you win a pole in a race your automatically in the Shootout the next year. He made a good point about Allmendinger,he was in only about 15 races last year but he’s in and Juan’s out. The best part though was when he said one rule he does understand and that was the one they put in about past champions getting in. He said it was put in so Tony Stewart could make the race. Juan Pablo speaks the truth I think.

I heard about this last week, it’s great to see a driver finally realizing that they CAN have an impact if they’ll only make an effort!

Fans WANT to be at the races, they just can’t AFFORD it! Good to see Hamlin stepping up and taking charge!

I was also glad to see that he wasn’t limiting it to his fans only, he said it was open to any fans that were willing to attend the race!

    Good stuff!

We ought to try and get a NASCAR community going on here, so we can help each other out get more traffic and such…
