Joey Logano wins first Nascar race at New Hampshire

Published by wv918 under Nascar Edit This

How cool was it yesterday that Joey Logano got his first Nascar win at New Hampshire when he won the Lenox Industrial Tools 301. He is from that area and had a lot of his family and friends there to see it. Yeah I know he won it because of rain but you know what, it still counts. I don’t want to hear any crap about the rain, a win is a win. Like they say you take them anyway you can get them. Matt Kenseth won the Daytona 500 this year because of rain. I am sure other drivers have had their first win due to rain.

It was a strategy that Joeys crew chief Greg Zipadelli used and it worked. Its no different than taking only 2 tires or gas only to get you out in front of the field. Joey jumped up 3 places in the standings with his win and now sits in 21st spot but is only 57 points from 18th place so thats something to shoot for to get in the top 20.

Kasey Kahne had a good day, he finished 10th and is only one point out of 12th place for the final chase spot. But he is only 16 points out of 10th place, so Kasey is on the verge of moving up big time if he can just keep up the good finishes.

Kasey Kahne wins Toyota/Save Mart 350

Published by wv918 under Nascar Edit This

I am sure if you are a Kasey Kahne fan as I am then you are thrilled with the results of yesterday’s Nascar race. Kasey Kahne won the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma California. I was beginning to think all those late cautions was going to mess him up but he hung on to win.

There was so many cautions at the end I lost track but I think it was four. All along I was expecting the second place car who was Tony Stewart to bump Kasey on the restarts and scoot on by him but he didn’t, he raced him clean. I think it probably helped that Kasey and Tony Stewart are good friends because you can bet it it was Kyle Busch leading at the end like that then Busch would have been bumped out of the way.

So it was a good win for Kasey and it leaves him only 3 points out of 12th place which he needs to get to in order to make the chase for the Sprint Cup. It was also car owner Richard Petty’s first victory as a car owner in 11 years. His last was when John Andretti drove for him and won at Martinsville in 1999.

Donte Stallworth suspended indefinitely

Published by wv918 under football Edit This

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth has been suspended indefinitely by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. Stallworth’s suspension is a result of his pleading guilty to DUI manslaughter when he hit and killed 59 year old Mario Reyes with his Bentley while Reyes was on his way home from work. Stallworth receives 30 days in jail for killing a  man and Michael Vick gets 18 months for running a dog fighting operation and killing dogs. Something seems wrong about that to me.
